We’re pleased to announce that we have partnered with Workforce Southwest Washington (WSW) on a strategic communications planning project.

Founded in 2002, WSW is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that oversees the workforce system for Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties in Washington. The organization contributes to regional economic growth by providing investments and resources to improve the skills and education of the workforce. For example, WSW can provide funding to businesses for employee training and WSW funds programs that connect jobseekers to resources to help them in their search or to advance in their career.

Since 2003, WSW has invested more than $89.2 million in Southwest Washington’s workforce. After a rebrand a few years ago, WSW is interested in the best way to present itself to the business community of Southwest Washington.

Prichard’s role includes surveying and interviewing local business leaders on their workforce needs and challenges. From there, we will create a strategic communications plan for the next year.

Previously, we worked on a similar audience research project with the Columbia-Willamette Workforce Collaborative which aimed to inform, encourage and motivate jobseekers to pursue training and employment in its four target sectors.

Stay tuned for a case study on our work with WSW later this year.
