Carol Rossio
Carol Rossio brings a wealth of media sales, corporate sponsorship development and strategic marketing partnership experience to her role as Sales and Advertising Director for Prichard Communications. She started her career in the technology arena, working in marketing program management and sales support roles for tech startups Alpine Datasystems, Timberline Software and Sequent Computer Systems. Carol also spent four years at Hewlett-Packard in Vancouver.
After taking a one-year sabbatical to study painting and drawing in the south of France (Aix-en-Provence) Carol returned to Portland and began volunteering with and working for several local music non-profits; she worked as Union Organizer for The American Federation of Musicians Local #99, as Marketing and Events Director for Portland Symphonic Choir and as Account Executive at KMHD 89.1 FM Public Jazz Radio. Carol also sold newspaper, magazine and online impression campaigns while employed at The Oregonian and OregonLive.com and has helped many small businesses and non-profits with publicity, PR and marketing campaigns through her PR and marketing background.
In addition to enjoying marketing and sales, Carol also likes to sing. She has recorded two jazz/pop CD projects (sung in French and English) and is currently working on her third CD release. She also performs regularly with the Oregon Symphony as a member of the Portland Symphonic Choir.
Carol earned a B.A. in Social Sciences at UC Santa Barbara. She also recently completed the Digital Marketing Strategies certificate course offered by the Professional Development Center at Portland State University.
